Service projects are focused on life events, so students will learn that the Gospel is the “living” word. Our religion program offers ongoing opportunities to incorporate ways to “live our faith” and teachers will coordinate service projects with lessons designed to accomplish this goal. When planning service projects, consideration will be given to such events as Catholic School’s week, Advent, Lent, First Communion Class, occasions when corporal works of mercy are taught, Feast Day of St. Vincent de Paul, and clearly identifiable times when there is a need in the community.
